The B’Yachad Sunday School from Columbia visited Serenity Ridge to focus on lessons about understanding the Jewish value of Bal Tashchit (“do not destroy” or “do not waste”). They observed how nature grows and what it needs to thrive. They practiced tangible environmental care by learning why invasive species, such as garlic mustard, are detrimental, how to remove them, and recognizing that small actions can protect the world.
